Karl Ströber album
from Franz Repper collection

 

This album contains wartime pictures taken by Obergefreiter Karl Ströber.
Ströber served in Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 98 of 1. Gebirgsjäger-Division,
and fought in France and Russia. During the war he was awarded both Iron Crosses,
silver Wound badge for three wounds, Infantry Assault badge, Eastern Front medal and
Close Combat clasp in bronze.

Although Gefreiter Ströber never served in Finnish front we would like to present this album in our website
to everyone interested about the Gebirgsjäger.

The album is currently in the collection of our group member Franz Repper.
