Soldiers like all kinds of entertainment, and Gebirgsjäger are
no exemption.
Cinema theathers, such as Lappland-Palast in the photo above, were
set up in towns well behind front lines.
Besides normal movies, these cinemas also showed Die Deutsche Wochenschau,
a weekly propaganda newsreel that
contained material from all fronts, filmed by Kriegsberichters.
