OPERATION HACKFLEISCH - August 2009 training weekend

Our traditional summer training weekend was held in mid-August 2009.
Weekend program included short evening patrol on first evening and the next day we marched
over the hills and through thick forest to Mauser-Höhe.

Marching to Mauser-Höhe and back carrying full battle gear is one of the
requirements for our members to be allowed to carry Edelweiss insignia.

Finally on top of Mauser-Höhe! Uniforms and shoes are cleaned and dried.

Forest lake by Mauser-Höhe is good place for fishing as these Waffenbrüder seem to know.

SS-Sturmmann Ewald Koch studies patrol area map as we try to figure out alternative routes to the hill.

Besides freshly caught fish we also enjoyed forest berries!

Rest before the long march back to base.

Return march - forest trek is about to end as Rudi-Weg is near.
