OPERATION HACKFLEISCH - August 2009 training weekend
Our traditional summer training weekend was held in mid-August 2009.
Weekend program included short evening patrol on first evening and the next
day we marched
over the hills and through thick forest to Mauser-Höhe.
Marching to Mauser-Höhe and back carrying full battle gear is
one of the
requirements for our members to be allowed to carry Edelweiss insignia.
New recruit reporting to SS-Untersturmführer Bärtig and SS-Sturmmann Koch
Soldbuch and other papers seems to be in order.

Going uphill through dense forest.

Our Finnish guide leads patrol on Rudi-Weg forest supply road.

Feet must be checked on every possible break to prevent blisters.
